I'm not sure who Samuel Kirkham was. I have a copy of a petition that
circulated in Ky. requesting statehood. My ancestors John and William
Overall signed it. I believe Samuel and Robert Kirkham signed it as
well.
It was difficult to read but I'm pretty sure it said Kirkham. I will
send it
as an
attachment.
The copy of the petition was given to me by my cousin. He doesn't
know where
the original is...possibly Vanderbilt Library or a library somewhere
in
Indiana.
I have checked at the Filson Club and the History Center in Frankfort,
neither
have it.
