This register was originally prepared by Ulrich Simmendinger after his return
to Germany from the colonies, where he had been part of the Palatine
migration for seven years. The names given are all who were living in 14
early New York settlements at the time of his departure in 1717. It is
assumed most of these were passengers of a fleet of 10 ships (names of ships
unknown), 3000 people, leaving England January 1710.
