In regards to Edgar co., IL & one James Knight, Rev. War soldier: James =
Knight b 20 Aug., 1750 in Abington twp, Philadelphia co., PA. Enlisted =
July 1775 while living in Bedford co., PA and served 12 months in PA regi=
ment. Later enlisted as a Marine and served until 15 Dec., 1777. Enlist=
ed again in 1778 for 9 mo.s in PA battalion. Then served 12 mo.s as volu=
nteer and discharged in 1779. Later lived in Greene co., TN for 3-4 yrs.=
(married Margaret Prigmore there)-moved to Knox co., TN for 3-4 yrs.-mov=
ed to Blount co, TN for ca. 19 yrs.-moved to Washington co., IN for 2-3 =
yrs.-then moved to Edgar co., IL.. He was granted pension while in Edgar=
co., IL. He died 1838, his widow was granted pension in 1841, she died =
1843 in Edgar co., IL.

Their children were Keziah 1792, Sophia 1794, John & Thomas 1795, William=
1796, Margaret 1798, James 1800, Anna 1802, and Joseph 1804.
