The military hospital at Leavenworth, Kansas, is in red brick. Called:
Dwight D. Eisenhower Veterans Administration Medical Center. 4101 S. 4th
Street, Leavenworth, Kansas 66048-5055. Phone: (913) 682-2000. This is
a very old hospital, dating from around 1884. Perhaps they would be
able to help you with information on Mr. Sharpe.

Please read William Sharpe message below. I am not sure if the hospital
was in Kansas or Missouri. I think it was a military hospital for
soldiers who were gassed in World War I
