Hello All,

There is an old cemetery 1 mile N and 2 miles E of Beaver. I have a note
that it was the Zion Union Presbyterian Church. There are about 8-10 stones
visible - a REIMAN, infant son & daughter; a CHRISTIANS and GARRELTS. The
writing on the others is no longer legible. A couple appear to have been in
German.

The GARRELTS stone, showing evidence of having at one time been enclosed as
a family plot, is 3 siblings of my grandfather, 2 of whom died of scarlet
fever in 1887 and one who died as an infant in 1881.

I first saw this site in 1977. I was in May, 2003 and it hasn't changed a
bit. Still there, still undisturbed. Does anyone know any more about it,
where the church records might be? Was it in fact the Zion Union Church?

I and my family may be the only ones interested in this particular one. Is
there any one in the area we might be able to hire to clean this one up a
bit?

Also, my aunt has a sizeable book listing the people in various Barton Co
cemeteries. Think is was published in the 1970s. I saw it earlier this
year and it seemed pretty complete. Are you aware of it? Would you want to
put it online if I could borrow it?

Thanks for any help --

Glenda
