Daphne- I looked at these 3 listings below but no Kerin or Robert with them.

Devereux, Margaret 54 1865 Kansas White Center, Doniphan,
ansas -w/daugh.
Devereaux, John L 36 1883 Kansas White Independence, Doniphan, Kansas
he's with a sister and mother.
Devereux, P K 40 1879 Kansas White Union, Doniphan, Kansas -has a 4y
Robert w/him but no 22y Kerin.

'Kerin' is not index as h/h, maybe she married by 1920?

Do you have her 1930 census? I also looked in 1930 and she's not indexed.
Nor is 'Kerin' w/out surname.
I found a 13y Robert Devereux w/Peter(same as 1920).
other 13y Robert Devereaux in Grand Rapids MI and
Robert J Devereax in Reedburg, WI
no 14y Robert Devereau, also used soundex.
