Hi Linda,
Thanks so much for doing this census look-up for me.

Charles Augustus Parmer claims he was born in Brookfield Ohio in 1839.
And that he helped his father settle and clear land in Pennsylvania at
some point in his life. He came to Canada in 1905 to homestead with his
son Earl - who lists his age as 29 on the 1906 special census for
Western Canada. He says on his homestead records he was a widower and
came from Kansas. This is all I know about this mystery man. I do not
have a wife's name. I do know that a daughter was rumoured to have come
to visit him from time to time, but no name for her has survived
anyone's memory. He and Earl are local colourful legends in these parts
and I am trying to place them in time and space without much luck.
So thanks again for the look-up and if you can suggest another angle to
look at, I will give it a try. I have had look-ups in the 1850 census
for Ohio as well as Pennsylvania with no luck.
