Oh, for goodness sakes ... This is them! The c. b. dates fit. Now, I know
William's middle name. And Mary did have another child. I wonder why
William went by the name of Frank ... hummm, maybe out of respect for
someone who passed on ...

This is a really huge break-through for me because I'm trying to locate data
on the parents of Michael J. Burk~e and Catharine nee Martin, b. c.
1811-1818 and c. 1825, respectively, Ireland. I'm hoping Michael and
Catharine's parents came to the U.S. from Ireland.

Michael and Catharine are the parents of William Frank Burke, below. Now I
definitely have enough information to send to Iowa for William F.'s birth
record. Yes, and Hallelujah!

Just out of curiosity ... do you have access to pertinent data about
marriages for 1850, Iowa? What I mean by that is ... do the marriage
records at Ancestry, or where ever you search, give the names of the parents
of the bride and groom? If I could get this information, I would know where
to look in Dublin, Ireland for Burke and Martin lineage. Just in case you
do ... here's their marriage data:

Michael J. Burk~e married Catharine Martin, SEP 16, 1850, Dubuque County,
Iowa. I have no idea what city, but I believe there was only one Catholic
Church in existence, beg. 1837-, city Dubuque, IA. I emailed the church
over a week ago but haven't received a reply yet. It is now a huge diocese.

Thank you so much again for moving me forward in my search. I feel lifted.
