Carol,
Thank you so much for trying to help. I have a particular reason
for focusing on the 1885 census. As I mentioned, my gr-grand-
father was discharged from the State Penn in Oct. 1880. I have
census information up to that point. My gr-grandmother had 3
children when he was convicted. My grandmother, their daughter,
was born in Jewell County Kansas in 1883....so she doesn't show
up on any census, unless it would be the 1885. If she doesn't show up
there I have made a mistake as to who her parents are.
I have found her with her husband in 1900 and 1910 in Nebraska
and in 1920 in Tillamook County Oregon, but these don't show a
connection to parents. I do appreciate your offer to help.
