Mrs. Carson Hopkins.

Mrs. Gertrude Provost HOPKINS, 71, died early Saturday in Council Grove.
She was born August 23, 1879, in Burlingame and had lived there all her life. She attended school at District 3 southeast of Burlingame. She was married in September, 1897, to George Lesle PROVOST, who died October 19, 1924. She married Carson HOPKINS October 7, 1941, who survives.
She also leaves seven children, Mrs. Cecil GIFFORD of Auburn, Mrs. Earl SATZLER of Eskridge, Miss Margaret PROVOST fo Alhambra, Calif., Mel Provost of Strong City, Mrs. Millard SCHULTZ of Russell, Edwin Provost of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Robert W. Provost of Omaha; 13 granchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond L. Provost.
She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Frank SMITH of Osage City and one brother, Walter PLACKETT of Twin Falls, Idaho.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Easter Star.
