He Dies In France.
First Shawnee County Casualty With Pershing Force.
Private T.M. Dice, Tecumseh, a Victim of Pneumonia.

"General Pershing today reported the death from pneumonia of Private T.M. DICE, Tecumseh, Kansas," says an Associated Press dispatch from Washington. W.M. DICE, Route 15, Tecumseh, the father of the deceased, received a telegram this morning telling of his son's death.
DICE's death is the first Shawnne county casualty with the Pershing expeditiion. The soldier was 27 years old.
He enlisted in Montana last fall, the father said today. He went to France as a member of the 163rd infantry supply regiment of the Forty-first division.
DICE lived in Tecumseh for six years prior to two years ago, when he went to Montana, where he was employed as an engineer on a ranch. Here he ran a threshing outfit for several summers.
