Local Woman 45, Succumbs; Rites Pending.

Mrs. Venus Madge KAUFFMAN, 45, 2025 N. Tyler, died in a local hospital Tuesday.
She was born Dec. 23, 1914 in Chanute and moved to Elmont when she was 10. She lived here 17 years and was a member of the Elment Methodist Church.
Survivors include her widower, Jess Kauffman, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Charles BALL, 1910 Sage; her mother, Mrs. R.L. HOLLIDAY of Lawrence; two sisters, Mrs. Floreine POOL of Archie, Mo., and Mrs. Virginia PENCE of 907 Sunset Lane; one brothers, William WILHITE of Toopeka and one grandson.
Davidson-Eslinger-Duff Funeral Home is in charge.
