Mrs. Jennie Young Dead.
The community was shocked and saddened Sunday by news of the death of Mrs. Jennie YOUNG.
She was taken severely ill a few days ago and was taken to the hospital in Topeka, where she passed away about 8:00 o'clock Sunday evening. She leaves six daughters, and two sons to whom the sincere sympathy of the entire community is extended.
Mrs. Young and family moved to Scranton less than a year ago, purchasing the Commerical Hotel, but in the short time they have been here they have formed many warm friendships and Mrs. Young was liked and respected by all with whom she came in contact.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at her former home where her husband and a son are buried.
