Mrs. Margaret Mains SIMMONS died in Colorado Springs, on Thursday of last week and the remains were brought to Oskaloosa, the funeral being held at the home of her parents on Saturday. Mrs. Simmons was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. MAINS of Lone Tree neighborhood and a sister of Dr. J.R. Mains formerly of McLouth., She had been in declining health for several months and went to Colorado Springs several weeks ago. While the mountain air doubtless prolonged her life it did not cure her ailment. Mrs. Simmons had many friends in this vicinity who sorrow in her death. Mr. Simmons is a bright business man, cashier of the new bank of Atchison. He was a Jefferson county boy and has a host of friends here who extend sympathy in this sad hour.
