Enemy Records Identify Body of Leonard Lobb.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward LOBB, Kansas City, Kansas, have been advised by the Army Air Forces, Washington, D.C., that the Air Forces recently completed translation of several volumes of captured German records, that among them is a record of recovery of the body of Lieut. Leonard C. Lobb, and its burial in the cemetery at Long-Plage between Calais and Dunkirk.
The captured records bear out what was already known, that Lobb's B-26 Maurauder bomber was hit by anti-aircraft fire 11th day of May and crashed in the Channel.
An accompanying communiction to Mr. and Mrs. Lobb, from Quartermaster General's office, states they will be further advised when the body of their son shall have been removed to an established American cemetery.
