Emmett Kidney.
Holton.--Emmett KIDNEY, 70, Holton, died Sunday morning in his home. He had had an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Kidney was born Aug. 23, 1897, in Circleville. He had lived most of his life in Holton. He had been a carpenter many years. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in Company B, 137th Infantry, 35th Division. He was a member of the American Legion, Holton, and the VFW, Belton, Mo. He was a retired member of the Holton volunteer fire department.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Kidney of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Anne WHITTINGTON, 2403 Virginia, Topeka; four sons, Milton Kidney Jr., La Puente, Calif., Joe Kidney, Belton, Mo., and Forrest Kidney, Rossville; a sister, Mrs. Leatha TREMO, Madison, Wisc.; two brothers, Scott Kidney, Ottawa, and Guy Kidney, Kansas City, Kan.; 18 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mercer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holton Cemetery.
