Linn County
Saturday
January 29, 1876
Now that La Cygne is to have a woolen mill there will be offered the farmers of Linn county a rare inducement for the culture of sheep and the sale of wool. As a rule the farmers of Kansas depend too much upoin a few articles for their subsistence, while with a greater variety of enterprises they could secure for themselves a much better and more comfortable living. Let sheep raising, for one thing, be generally introducted in Linn county, and besides there being but a single woolen mill in La Cygne, more will become a necessity, and would very naturally spring up here and there all over the county.
