I know of Nichols family in Miami county, Kansas, and Keller families in
Linn county Kansas.
Back in the late 1800's a man named Keller was hanged for killing his wife
and children when they left him to stay with a neighbor lady with children.
Mr. Keller killer both women and children and burned the house. Hope this
is not what you are looking for.
There are some nice Keller familes here not related to the former.
