Good evening,
I would be very interested in any information you might have on the parents or siblings of CATHERINE (Kate) CARTER b: IN. m: 1882
KS. to JAMES WILLIS ARMSTRONG b: 1854 they had three children :
ELIZABETH ARMSTRONG b: KS
CHARLES ARMSTRONG b: KS
NORA BESSIE ARMSTRONG b: KS (my grandmother)
Catherine (Kate) CARTER d: 1890 KS
I would be interested in the dates that go with your CARTER families.
I am searching for the parents and (siblings, if any) for
CATHERINE (KATE/KATIE) CARTER b: IN about 1840-1865.
Her children have her born in IN.
My Great-grandparents are JAMES WILLIS ARMSTRONG b: 1854 ILL & CATHERINE (CARTER) ARMSTRONG b: IN
I have JAMES ARMSTRONG in: 1870:
Series: M593 Roll: 277 Page: 87
ARMSTRONG J 15 M W IL IL SHELBY CO., FLAT BRANCH TWP (ILL) living with the Charly Elmer family #14

I have CATHERINE CARTER in 1870:
1870 CARTER CATHERINE Atchison County KS
305 Lancaster Township
Federal Population Schedule KS 1870 Federal Census Index KS01218725
I (with lots of help) have found the date and location for my paternal
great-grandparents JAMES WILLIS ARMSTRONG & CATHERINE (KATE) CARTER ARMSTRONG marriage:
> Marriages of Franklin County, Kansas, 1858-1895
> Armstrong James 30-Nov-1882 Carter Katie
And here is what I think will turn out to be CATHERINE (KATE) CARTER ARMSTRONG'S Obituary
(family story is Kate died eight years after her oldest child,
Elizabeth was born).
> Index to Pomona Annals, 1884 to 1906.
> Pomona, Kansas had a newspaper almost continuously from 1884 to
1928.
> Interesting tidbits from those newspapers have been extracted and

> I think that perhaps the newspaper is an Obituary for Kate.
> Gads, how I would like to get my hands on that!!!!!
I lastly, I have JAMES ARMSTRONG in the 1900 census widow w/ only
Charles and Nora.
A kind soul sent me this in the 1900 census in Allen Co. Iola ? twp.
