Subject: [KS-VETERANS] William W. (Weatherspoon) Walker
Date: Sat, 12 Jan 2002 15:03:13 -0800
My G G Grandfather was enlisted in the Civil War as a Guard/Cook. He is buried in the Tweedy Cemetary. In 1980 one of his grandsons said that he had a government marker. I have received a listing of the graves at the Tweedy Cemetary and it appears there is no record of William W. Walker. The person who made the list actually went to the cemetary and got the information.
(I was also told in a letter dated 1980 by a research of the Old Fort Scott Genealogical Society that William was buried in the Tweedy Cemetary.)
On the list I have there are several graves with ? as who is buried there and I feel that William is one of those ?. My question to you is :
Does anyone know of any way I could get a list of who is buried in this cemetary? You would think that somewhere there is a list of who is buried there and maybe this could solve the ? graves.
Any Help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Sarah Walker Kahut
