I probably should not respond to this query, but I seem to remember that
the Grantham property was at Riverton,KS, Cherokee County. It was located
north of highway 66, across the highway from Empire District Power Plant
on Spring River. I seem to remember hearing that they entertained one of
the cowboy movie stars there at one time. The house later became Spring
River Inn, which was a successful restaurant until a few years ago when
it burned. The property has been subdivided and many nice homes have been
built in the past 20 or 30 years. I have no history on the Grantham family,
just as noted above.
