One of the wonderful things about RootsWeb message boards is that you never know who will be reading the messages.

Years ago I was the administrator of the Ferrin surname message board on Rootsweb (as I am for this Comanche Co. board today) and a woman posted a message because she was looking for her father, whom she had never known due to the apparent divorce of her parents when she was young. Within a day, her father had responded, saying "You are my long lost daughter!". They'd both been searching for each other online and connected through that message board!
