We have been searching for information on Abram Elliott's family.
Abram Elliott migrated to Cowley County abou 1876. He married Caroline
Egleston Marlen in Randolph County, Illinois. We need information on
where his family came from before Illinois. He is living by D.
Elliott and wife (Jane Grimaley Elliott) in 1880 Census of Cowley
County. We believe he was related to D. Elliott. I read the biography
listed in Custler"s History of Kansas. Joseph C. Elliott was Abram's
father in Illinois, and he was married to Catherine Miller. Wondering
perhaps if Joseph and D. Elliott were brothers. The 1850 Census of
Randolph County, Illinois lists Joseph as being born in N.C. (Joseph
Elliott's) orgins has eluded us for 10 years. We know nothing of his
parents or brothers or sisters) trying to find a connection perhaps
with D. Elliott.
