Rosemary Joy Hardy, 77, Holton, died July 4, 2004, at Holton Community Hospital. She was born Sept. 20, 1926, in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of Joy and Alma Brooks Wilkers. She graduated from Winfield High School in 1944. Mrs. Hardy moved to Holton from California in 1991. She attended First United Methodist Church in Holton and was a member of the Alpha Circle at the church. She also belonged to the Sewing Club. She married Glenn Hardy on June 30, 1946, at Winfield. They divorced. Survivors include a son, Milton G. "Bo" Hardy, Garland, Texas; two daughters, Dorothy June Franks, Redlands, Calif., and JoRea Hardy, in California; a sister, Gloria Snyder, Holton; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held July 9 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Burial was in Holton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be !
