MRS. FRANK DOSS, EX-PITTSBURGER, DEAD
Mrs. Ethel Doss, 74, former Pittsburger, died at 5 a.m. yesterday in Research
hospital in Kansas City. She had been in ill health since December 1961
and had been hospitalized four months.
Mrs. Doss was born in Pittsburg March 29, 1889. She moved to Tulsa in 1920
and lived in Lansing for a time before moving to Kansas City in 1944. She
was married to Frank Doss in 1906. He died in 1935.
Membership was held in the women's auxiliary of the Spanish American War
veterans.
Survivors include three sons, Carl F. Doss, Girard; Roy Doss, Kansas City
and Ray Doss, Independence, MO; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Bruns, North
Kansas City and Mrs. Betty Concannon, Burlington, VT. and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Brenner chapel. Rev.
N. Gayle Fischer will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive cemetery.
Ted Grassi will sing "In The Garden" and "Going Down the Valley," accompanied
by Mrs. C. E. Runnels. Pallbearers will be Roy Doss, Ray Doss, Carl F.
Doss, Daniel Bruns, Willis Page, and George Bogle. The family will receive
friends at the Brenner chapel from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
