Eureka - Funeral services, were held Friday, in the Campbell Funeral Home,
for Mrs. John Charles Cassin, who died Wednesday in the Greenwood County
Hospital. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Cassin, the former
Bessie Brush, was born June 5th, 1886, in Pennsylvania, and she was married
on June 27th, 1906, in Pittsburg. She moved to Eureka in 1925 from Nowata,
Oklahoma. Mrs. Cassin was preceded in death by her husband, who died July
22nd, 1946, and she is survived by one son, James A., of Chanute; one daughter,
Mrs. Marion Harlan, Eureka; one sister, Nettie Marshall, Houston, Texas,
five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
