J.B. Baker Consents to Run.
Some time ago, J.N. BAKER, our present county commissioner, stated that he would not again be candidate for the office. His many friends in the district are glad that he has reconsidered his first decision and will again hold the office. We make this positive statement, that he will hold the office another term because he will have no opposition. Mr. BAKER is a Democrat but the Republicans of his district think so much of him that no one will run against him. During the four years he has held this responsible office Mr. BAKER has completely forgotten politics in his effort to do good service for the county. One of th ebest things he has done was re-district the county, giving each of the large towns of the county, Anthony, Harper and Attica, a chance to have a different commissioner to represent them. Mr. BAKER has also given the weighty road problems much study and is in a better position than ever to look after the interests of his district.
