Delores C. Chesky, 74, homemaker, died Thursday (March 15, 2001) in Halstead.
She was a graduate of Wichita North High School and received a bachelor's degree from The University of Kansas. She was involved in the Chesky Insurance Agency with her husband Vic Chesky Jr., who preceded her in death. She also was actively involved with the Chesky Arabian Horse Farm in Hutchinson.
She also was preceded in death by: a son, Jack Chesky; her parents, Roy and Lea Quiring Custer; and two granddaughters.
Survivors include: three sons Vic Chesky III of Hunt, Texas, Eric Chesky of St. Helena, Calif., and Bill Chesky of Gilbert, Arizona; a sister, Lucille Crandall of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church of Halstead. Memorials have been established with the Chesky Memorial at Herzler Research Foundation and the Jack C. Chesky Memorial Fund at Wichita Collegiate School in care of Hillside Funeral Home West of Wichita, 2929 W. 13th, Wichita, KS 67203.

HALSTEAD -- Victor E. Chesky, 48, insurance agent and former Halstead resident, died Monday (July 30, 2001) in San Antonio.
He was born March 5, 1953, to Victor E. and Delores (Custer) Chesky Jr. in Halstead. They preceded him in death.
He was a member of Southern Oaks Baptist Church and Rotary Club, both of Kerrville, Texas, C.L.U. and C.H.F.C., and the Board of Young Associates at Hardin-Simmons University in San Antonio.
Survivors include: two daughters, Morgan Victor Chesky and Caitlyn Elizabeth Chesky, both of Kerrville; and two brothers, Eric C. Chesky of St. Helena, Calif., and Bill P. Chesky of Gilbert, Ariz.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Chesky.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Halstead with the Revs. Dallas Curts and Debbie Elwick officiating.
Inurnment will be in Halstead Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with the Jack. C. Chesky Memorial -- Wichita Collegiate School and the Hertzler Foundation in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, 418 Chestnut Street, Halstead, KS 67056.
