Chas. CLINE the Atchison barber, visited his jparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.CLINE of this city over Sunday.
Miss Nettie ZIMMERMAN attended the teather in Atchison Saturday night, and visited with friends over Sunday.
John WHITMER returned Saturday night from a trip to southern Kansas where he has been looking after his land interests.
Mrs. C.M.KENYON was in Cummings the fore part of the week on account of the illness of her grandson, Orla KENYON.
R.H.MEYER, the new proprietor of the CIty Restaurant has made many valuable improvements in the place. The dining hall has been enlarged and repainted and the restaurant takes on an air of general prosperity. Bob is a genial good fellow and we bespeak for him a liberal patronage of Nortonville people as well as transient trade.
C.A.PARDEE was in Valley Falls Saturday on business.
