COOK-THOMPSON
A notable wedding occured at Prairie View last night (June30), when Miss Ida E. THOMPSON and Edwin M. COOK were married. The young people were born and raised at Prairie View, and the ceremony was witnessed by their relatives and a few old friends who helped take care of them when they were babies. The Rev. HASTINGS, of Effingham, performed the marriage ceremong at 8:30, on the front porch at the home of the bride's father, F. THOMPSON. The porch was gaily decorated with flowers and lighted with Japanese lanterns. The bride looked pretty and sweet in a white silk mull wedding dress, and was attended by the groom's cousin, Miss Mamie LANDIS, of Troy. N. W. COOK, a brother of the groom, was the best man. Among the visitors kin were Benjamin and Dudley HARDING, of Denver, cousins of the groom. Mr. and Mrs. COOK will live in Prairie View on a farm belonging to the groom's father, C.E. COOK.

SAYRE - TALBOT
At the home of the bride, two and a half miles north of Nortonville, a very pleasant wedding occured on the evening of July 2, when Mr. J. A. SAYRE, recently of Cartwright, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Susan M. TALBOT were united in matrimonial bonds by the Rev. Geo. W. HILLS of our city. A company of relatives and neighbors were the invited guests, and the evening was spent very pleasantly. Althought the groom has not been long in Nortonville he is very favorably known. The bride is very highly esteemed by all who know her. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Jennie HURLEY. The Sentinel joins their many friends in hearty congratulations and kindest wishes.
