Mrs. J.W. COLLEY and daughter, Miss Linnie are spending the holidays with relatives in Kansas City.
That rustling real estate agent J.W. COLLEY, sold W.R.SMITH's farm to Frank HART, and sold Mr. Smith a residence in Topeka.
T. J. COGHLIN, chief clerk of the insane asylum of Topeka, and his wife came down to spend Christmas with Mrs. COGHLIN's parents, Mr. and Mrs. WHITE.
Jasper DAVIS is able to be out again after being confined to his bed several days. While working on the bridge at Lecompton last Thursday he had a very narrow escape from death by falling a distance of 25 feet to the ground, bruising himself up pretty badly.
In a fracus between Charlie HUNTER and Jim MOORE Saturday night, HUNTER was pretty badly beaten up about the face. MOORE skipped out for greener fields.
