News has reached here that Frank EAKIN a former Perry citizen has been made rich by the discovery of lead and zinc in abundance on his land interests in Missouri. This find is of immense proportions and doubtless means a fortune to Mr. EAKIN. His numerous friends in Perry and vicinity, it is safe to say, will rejoice at his good fortune.
Mr. BEAUCHAMP the new barber, has rented the R.E.HAYNES house and moved his family here.
August YENKEY, a farmer living 1 mile west of here, had the misfortune of having two horses, a set of harness, and a (Fish Bros make) wagon stolen from his place last night. The theives took the horses from the stable, harnessed and hitched them to the wagon and drove off. They were tracked going west. The description of the horses is as follows: One bay horse, white stripes in face, wire cut on left front hoof, weight 1000 pounds; the other was a sorrel mare, white stripe in face, weighed 900 pounds.
On March 27th, Mr and Mrs. C.A. JONES, of Medina, celebrated their 15th marriage anniversary. Supper was served for 40.
