All quiet along Walnut Creek; one might say oppressively quiet.
G.B. LOVELAND and E.C. RANKIN took a trip to Lawrence and vicinity, last week, in seach of land. They came back very much pleased witht he country and anxious to purchase, but owing to the low state of affairs in their pocket books, they brought home on their buggy wheels, all the land they could afford to buy. The trouble is now they don't know where to spread it.
