John ALFORD and W.G. BOYD sent two car loads of cattle to the Chicago market last Saturday.

Cass NEWBY has gone to Kansas City to accept a position in the transfer and livery stable of his father.

Mr. and Mrs. J. HIGDON of Kansas City, were here last Sunday visiting their daughter, Mrs. Dr. RANKIN.

Jim LAKE came out from Leavenworth, Wednesday, to visit his aunt, Mrs. HILLIX, who is quite seriously ill with grip.

Elder Josiah KIMMEL of Auburn, Ills., preached in the Methodist church in this city, boy morning and evening on Sunday last.
