E.D. BRADFORD has improved the looks of his property in the east part of town with a fine new gate. You pull the string and Ed's mechanism does the rest.
We hear that Ed WERT and another man up near Winchester had trouble over some stock which was running out getting on WERT's garden, which resulted in a fight in one of the stores in Winchester. It is stated that WERT seized a butcher knife and cut the other man across the knee and he is in a critical condition.
Jack EDMONDS has had quite a round of accidents. One day last week the horse that he was riding got frightened at a large clod of dirt which had been thrown out into the road, and jumped suddenly breaking the saddle girt and throwing Mr. EDMONDS off and bruising him up considerably. Again the first of this week while hauling corn the wagon ran into a chuck hole and threw Mr. EDMONDS forward, he managed in falling to grab the tongue and was dragged several feet. Uncle Jack as he is popularly known feels pretty badly used up.
