Mr. John SAYLER, one of this county's pioneer settlers, passed away at his home 8 miles north of Perry, at 10:30 o'clock Monday norning, at the age of 71 years. Death resulted from paralysis and pneumonia. Funeral services were held at the Midway chruch Wednesday, being conducted by the Rev. Geo. R. JACKMAN of Riley, Kan., assisted by the pastor of the Liberty church Presbyterian church. Interment was in the Oskaloosa cemetery.
