May McCLURE one of the bright compositors at printing house row was at Nortonville this and last week doing "locals" for the News.
J.N. STRAWN left for Perry, Okla., Monday, where he is the complaining witness in a law suit, the defendant in the case being a pick-pocket.
Mrs. A. R. HULL of Dunavant visited her mother, Mrs. John SILLS last Saturday. Mr. HULL has cahrge of "Central" near the old Hickory Point battlefield during the Kansas war in 1856.
Shortly after arriving at Cripple Creek, Colo., Miss Mamie (Roberts) VANN, of Valley Falls, was married to Fred HOPKINS, Nov. 22, 1906, Rev. SMITH of the A.M.E. Church performing the ceremony.
