House Party--Mrs. W.I. THOMPSON entertained at a house party Tuesday a number of Holton friends including Mesdames Guy NEWELL and son Chapin, Guy JOHNSON, B. SANDERS, Fred PETIT, Tom WALKER, Miss Lena HELMS and a farewell for Mrs. Pence CHARLES, who left Thursday for her new home in South Dakota where her husband is called as a traveling salesman. The day was spent in crocheting, tatting along with music, and games of different kinds, being compelled to change the program and remain indoors by rain. Dinner was discussed at noon and in the eening a two course lunch was served. Mrs. Guy SCHMITT and son, Guy joined the party in the evening. Their departure was at 7:00 o'clock over the handy Union Pacific, thing the day was all too short, even though it rained.
