Mrs. Eleanor Champion.

Mrs. Eleanor CHAMPION, 67, one time register of deeds of Jefferson County, died March 26 at Wichita, where she had lived the last two years with her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn BOWER.
Mrs. CHAMPION had formerly lived at Valley Grove (north of Midland), in Lawrence, and in Oskaloosa, where she served two terms as register of deeds, from 1936 to 1940. She was the widow of Fred CHAMPION, who died in 1936.
Surviving besides here daughter are: two sons, Harold CHAMPION of McLouth and Frederick CHAMPION of Gladewater, Texas; a brother, Harry SLAWSON, Kansas City, Mo., and eight grandchildren.
