The Oskaloosa Times
Friday
May 17, 1895

By a private letter from Wm. WELLS we learn that he has bought a farm three-fourths of a mile from Loveland, Colorado---a town about the size of Oskaloosa---and will try farming for a while. We are sorry he is not to return to this place, but as his health will not hold up here we presume it is a wise move and wish him abundant success in his new venture.

A horse belonging to Ed ALLEN, threw its self while hitched to a single buggy and tied to the hitch rack on the west side of the square Wednesday afternoon, with the result of a broken pair of shafts and a skinned leg for the horse.

Robert GIFFORD and Miss Libbie CLARK were married at the residence of the bride's parents west of town Wednesday evening by Rev. CRYSLER. Only the immediate friends and relatives of the family were present, but the young people have a large circle of friends who join in wishing for the couple a long and pleasant voyage of lifes sea.
