Uncle Dave WALKER is having things coming his way now. He has started the croquet balls rolling again and proposes having some sport with this his favorite game. The grounds of regulation size and level as a floor are located at Frank CORKADEL's lot on Oak street where anybody who loves the game and his neighbor is welcome to play says manager WALKER.
Beech CHAPMAN who was with Bonar's thresher found the heat too great for him Friday and had to lay off a couple days. The outfit pulled into town Friday afternoon for repairs and Beecher wass taken off the engine into Dutt's shop where he was treated for an hour before he began to recover. He had a pretty hard seige his heart being affected.
Miss Ruby EVANS went to Oskaloosa Wednesday to attend the Old Settler's Reunion.
