Obituary.

Catherine RUSSELL died Tuesday morning, Oct. 12, 1954, in St. Francis Hospital, Topeka. She was born January 22, 1879, in Chicago, and came to the Fairview community northeast of Topeka in 1884. SHe lived in the Meriden community 44 years before moving to Topeka 5 years ago.
She was united in marriage on March 6, 1905, with William RUSSELL. To this union were born 2 children, a daughter, Lauranna, and a son, Richard, who preceded her death in 1925 when he was sixteen years old. Her husband passed away in January 1952.
Besides her daughter, she is survived by a brother, Denis BYRNE of Route 3, North Topeka, and three sisters, Miss Elizabeth BYRNE, of Route 3, North Topeka, Mrs. John SHAFFER of Meriden, and Mrs. Arch LITTLE of Carbondale.
Funeral services were held October 14th at the Holy Name Church, Topeka, with burial in the Meriden Cemetery.
