East of Town, by O.L.
Mrs. McCLENNY and Trula Delight LONGACRE appreciate sun-shine for their month old chicks but Mrs. Winnie PETERSON started the baby chick season out this way so far as has been reported.
Mr. and Mrs. George ANDERSON called at the home of their son, Clark.
There was much rejoicing out this way when news came the Oskaloosa Band carried off the honors for first place in the contest at Lawrence on Friday. We are mighty pround of the Band and hope they may come out first again at Topeka.
Henry FIELD spent Thursday in Lawrence on business. He happened to be having a birthday that day, too.
