Pickups From Perry, by H.N. Spangler..

J.W. ADAMS came from Kansas City Thursday of last week to attend the funeral of his brother Dr. C. ADAMS. He once lived in Perry and his old neighbors are always pleased to meet him.

Geo. KERR of Eskridge, Kansas, was a Perry visitor last Friday. He formerly lived at Thompsonville with his step-father, J.B. GARRETT and went to school to be a writer in the winter of 1876-7. He came here to attend the funeral of his uncle Wm. KERR.

The body of D.C. ADAMS of Fairview township was interred in oak Ridge Cemetery north of Perry last Saturday. There was a large attendance at the cemetery.

C.R. HOFFMAN and family came up from Kansas City to attend the funeral of D.C. ADAMS. Mrs. ADAMS and Mrs. HOFFMAN are sisters.

Charles McDONALD and George "Fatty" CLARK were down from Topeka Monday.

A drizzling rain Tuesday evening was good one the wheat fields.

Thos. DRENNAN of Topeka ahs brought suit in Justice A.D. HAYNES' court against the Christian Church of Perry for money advanced while the church building was being erected.
