Last Wednesday evening Will MICHAEL and W.S. McCRACKEN got into a scrap at Rock Creek, MICHAEL drew out a knife during the scrimmage and slashed McCRACKEN a few times, the most serious cut being on his left arm. McCRACKEN went at once to Judge METZGER and swore out a complaint, charging MICHAEL with assault with intent to kill. When constable Lige TAYLOR got to Rock Crek, MICHAEL had pulled his freight, and after twenty-four hours' search TAYLOR gave up the chase. It is reported that negotiations are pending now betwen the parties interested, that will settle the case outside the courts.
