Clarence C. Peppard Dies At Butler, Mo.

Clarence C. PEPPARD, a former resident of Perry community, passed away suddenly Saturday morning, January 30, at his home near Butler, Mo. As he was a man of sturdy appearance and seemingly normal health at the age of fifty-eight years, his death was entirely unexpected. It was accredited to heart seizure.
Mr. Peppard and family had lived near Butler for eleven years and about a year ago he took charge of the telephone company at Virginia, M., near his home. Mr. Peppard was a carpenter by trade and was well known in Butler.
He is surived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Peppard; a daughter, Norma Lee Peppard; one son, Keith Peppard; six brothers and four sisters, including Mrs. Frances JENNINGS of Perry. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Virginia church, conducted by the Rev. W.S. Butts of Butler, and followed by burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
Mr. Peppard was a native of this community where he practiced the carpenter trade before moving with his family to Butler eleven years ago. He was well known by many of the older residents here.
