Perry Items.
Miss Melissa BURK is the guest of Mrs. BRADEN, of Perry.
O.B. CARVER and Orvil BAILEY drove to Topeka Monday.
Mrs. E.P. BROWN moved into one of the W.C. INGLE houses, last Wednesday.
Miss Jennie HURST of Independence, Kansas, is the guest of Gertie EAKIN.
Mrs. O.B. CARVER went to Topeka Tuesday to attend the convention, and visit with friends a few days.
We regret to learn of the accident of A.S. DIGGS of this place while in Kansas City last Saturday. He tried to pass between the cars of a Wabash cattle train which had stopped at Santa Fe and Union avenue. Just as he swung on the bumpers of two cars, the train pulled up, his left foot was caught between the bumpers and severely crushed. He is still at the city hospital in Kansas City, and at last reports is resting easy.
