Wellman Winnowings by L. & B.
Jefferson Co. C.E. executives met at the home of Don and Margery RAY in Winchester Sunday afternoon. Plans were made for the County Rally which will be held at Edmonds Chapel the last of the month. Definite date will be announced later. Each society should be making plans to attend, each one bringing cookies as their share of the refreshments. Those from Valley Grove attending were Walter and Marie LOVE, Darlene SMITH and Barbara ZOOK.
Mrs. Ruby RAUSCH and Mrs. Emma KRESSBE of Topeka, were dinner guests at the W.A. WELLMAN home Thursday, and called to see Mr. Fred STEVENS, who is at the home of her parents, recovering from a major operation.
Normalie STEVENS led the Valley Grove C.E. meeting Sunday evening. Guests included Don KIMMEL, of Oskaloosa, and Vic LOSKAT, of Lawrence, Jamie EBERHARD will be leader next Sunday evening--the topic to be discussed being "What is Happening in the Church in America today?"
