The home of Mr. and Mrs. W.I. THOMPSON was the scene of a gathering of relatives and friends honoring Miss Betty McNORTON of Ann Arbor, Mich., Mr. Robert of Camp Robinson, and Mr. Ruth Jackson and Mrs. A. REMINGTON of Los Angeles. At noon a basket dinner was held that was enjoyed thoroughly by all present. The afternoon was spent visiting and showing moving pictures as one of the guests brought their picture machine along. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Elwin NICCUM and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lavell McNORTON of Topeka, Mr. and Mr. Roy McNORTON an family of Elmont, Mrs. Vada McNORTON of Meriden, Mr. and Mrs. Fount HURST, Fount, Paul and Robert, Mr. and Mrs. W.F. WETTIG, Mrs. Carl WETTIG and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bert McNORTON and Betty, all of Valley Falls, Mrs. Ruth JACKSON and Mrs. REMINGTON, Mr. and Mrs. W.I. THOMPSON, Mrs. Wilma SUMPTER and Chancy, William and Miss Fern GRAHAM. Although the day was gloomy and raining it did not mar the pleasure of getting together.
