Dunavant.

The community was saddened by the sudden death Sunday of Mrs. Henry MOTT. Funeral services were held at the Dunavant church. Sympathy is extended to the family in their bereavement.

John KENYON is recovering from a tonsillectomy.

Mr. M. I. McGEHEE is employed in the condenser at Valley Falls.

Mr. and Mrs. Hal CURRY are the parents of a new daughter whom they have named Rose Elene.

Mrs. Hattie EDEN and Mrs. Anne ELIOT of Kansas City are spending the week at the McENDREE home and will attend the Old Settlers reunion.

Clarence GAUT and Jeff. MILLER are painting the school house.

Mrs. Ina LEAVENWORTH has left for Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin to visit her son Lowell and family.

Lt. Lewis TAYLOR writes that he is now in France.

Mr. and Mrs. Loren McGEHEE returned home Monday after a visit with thier son, Orville and family in Topeka.

Mrs. Harry HALL and daughter, Evelyn, of Topeka were recent guests of Mrs. Ida LANGDON.

Mrs. Ellen McENDREE observed here 86th birthday Sunday.
